Shanghai, China's largest modern city is one of the four municipalities under the jurisdiction of the Central Government. It is the largest economic and trade centre in the country and a comprehensive industrial base, as well as a famous historical and cultural city. Industry and commerce are flourishing. The center of the city is divided into two areas by the Huangpu River. The level of this new area's industry, commerce, finance, trade, post and telecommunications stands at the forefront in China. More than 130 buildings there, are taller than a hundred metres.

It has a well-developed commodity economy, and has comparatively high scientific and technological levels. As the most prosperous business center in China, Shanghai leads all the others in both the total volume of retail sales and the export value social commodities. In recent years, it has made rapid progress in finance and banking services, and stands next to Beijing, as one of the main financial centers in China.

Route 1: Pudong International Airport to Our University
1. Directly to our university, Meilong Road No. 130, by taxi (about 45 minutes)
2. Taking Shanghai Maglev train to Long Yang Road station, then taking taxi to our university
3. Taking No. 7 airline bus to Shanghai South Railway Station, then taking bus No. 157, 729 or 867 to our university (East China University of Science and Technology Station)

Route 2: Hongqiao Airport to our University
1. Directly to our university, Meilong Road No. 130, by taxi (about 30 minutes)

B. From Shanghai Railway Station to our University

1. Directly to our university, Meilong Road No. 130, by taxi (about 40 minutes)
2. Taking Line No. 1 (Metro 1) to Shanghai South Railway Station, then taking bus No. 157, 729 or 867 to our university
3. Taking Line No. 3 (Elevated Light Rail Train) to Shilong Road Station, then taking bus 111, bus 957, or taxi to our university

C. From Shanghai South Railway Station to our University
